Industrial doors and gates are considered work equipment, and Article 7.4a of the Dutch Working Conditions Decree requires employers to have work equipment inspected periodically by a competent person. In practice, this usually means at least once a year, and more often when the equipment is used intensively. Written or digital proof of inspection must be available. If this proof is missing after an accident, an insurer may reject a claim.
